What is Jarir Discount Card?
Jarir Discount Card is a loyalty program of Jarir Bookstore and can be used in showrooms and on Jarir.com. Jarir Discount Card provides the benefits below:
1. 10% instant discount on almost all school and office supplies, arts & crafts, books and computer bags.
2. Special exclusive offers to Jarir Discount Card holders
How to apply for a Jarir Discount Card?
1. Applying for Jarir Discount Card happens only through Jarir mobile app.
2. You need to download Jarir mobile app and go to Jarir card section.
3. Create a Jarir.com account and log-in then fill-out Jarir Discount Card digital application form from the mobile app.
4. Minimum purchase requirement of BHD 50 will be automatically verified through the historical transactions under the registered mobile number when it was used in Jarir showroom or online. If your purchase is below the minimum requirement, you have an option to add invoice until it reaches BHD 50.
5. After completing the successful application, you will receive a SMS notification and activation status after 24 hours will be shown on Jarir card section of the mobile app.
6. You will receive an email, sms and mobile app notification once your card is activated and ready to use.
How to renew Jarir Discount Card?
The system automatically renews Jarir Discount Cards if there has been at least one single transaction during its validity. If the Card was not used during its validity it will be de-activated.
Can I use old invoice or jarir.com invoice to apply for Jarir Discount Card?
Yes, old invoices and jarir.com invoices are both accepted.
How to use Jarir Discount Card via Jarir Mobile App or Temporary/Plastic card in the showroom?
Customer need present their Jarir Discount Card via Jarir mobile app by tapping “Discount card” button then the electronic card will show or just by showing their temporary/Plastic card. Present this to cashier before payment at the check-out and discount will be applied on the qualified items.
How to use Jarir Discount Card on your Jarir.com purchases?
During the check-out process you will be asked to input their 8-digit Jarir Discount Card number, or else you can link the number to your jarir.com account.
How to link my existing Jarir Discount Card to Jarir.com account/Jarir mobile app?
1. If you applied for a Jarir discount card via Jarir mobile app, then your card is already linked. Therefore, discount is automatically applied on the qualified items every time you shop online.
2. If you did not apply Jarir discount card via Jarir mobile app then you can add your Jarir Discount Card first 7-digit number during the check-out one time to apply Jarir Discount Card benefits on the same order and future orders.
3. You can login to your Jarir mobile app and go to “Discount card” section. Click “Link you existing Jarir Discount card”. You’ll be asked to input your first 7-digit Jarir Discount Card and ID on space allocated then press verify. Once verified, you can get Jarir Discount Card benefits every time they purchase online.
What's the validity of a Jarir Discount Card?
Newly issued Jarir Discount Card has a validity of 3 years. You can also see the expiry period printed on the card via Jarir mobile app or on the plastic card.
How to renew Jarir Discount Card?

You must visit any of our showrooms to report a lost card and request for replacement.
How can I use my Jarir Discount Card to re-print a receipt for warranty purposes?
You just need to visit any of our showrooms and approach our customer service section and they will serve you.
What is Jarir Return & exchange Policy for online orders?
Same policy & procedures will be followed as Showrooms on Ecommerce Order (Website Orders) for returns, exchange, and warranty.
What is the duration of warranty and who is the warranty service provider for products I bought online?
You can know the duration of warranty and the warranty service provider through one of the following:
* invoice which shows the duration of warranty & warranty service provider.

Do all Jarir Showrooms provide warranty and maintenance services?
No. Only Salmiya Showroom provides the service for receiving and sending a product to the warranty service provider by our After Sale Service Corner.
Can I buy online from jarir website?

Flooss is available to all citizens and residents in Bahrain. We only need your mobile number, valid ID and valid payment method.
What are Flooss 's minimum and maximum purchases at Jarir?
The minimum loan value is 50 BHD, and maximum loan value is 1000 BHD.
Is there a limit to how much I can spend with Flooss?
There is a limit of 1000 BHD. The approval decision when shopping with Flooss can depend on the following:
– Your payment history with Flooss
– Your remaining balance and unpaid orders with Flooss
– The purchase amount of your shopping basket
– Other factors to determine approvals which we’re unable to reveal due to security reasons.

Follow the steps below to make a payment:

– You can add the new card from the Home Screen or under Account Profile by Selecting Payment Details
– Click “Add new Credit Card” and follow the steps by providing card details.
– You will receive a notification when the card details are captured successfully.
How will I know when I need to pay?
After receiving your order, Flooss will let you know by email and SMS when your payment is due. You can also see all your upcoming due payments in your Flooss app.
What happens if I miss a payment?
Past due payment will affect your credit history.. Missing payments might also lead to legal action being taken against the customer.
The payment is due, but I haven't received my order.?
If you haven’t received your order, kindly reach out to Jarir Support Team and they will support your query. In case of refund this must be issued through Jarir to Flooss to proceed further.
How can I get a refund?
All refunds will be issued according to the Jarir’s policy for returns and cancellations. Once Jarir has registered your return or cancellation with Flooss , your refund will be processed. Here’s what you can expect with your refund:
– If the refunded amount is less than the remaining payments, then the remaining payments will be adjusted accordingly.
– If the refunded amount is more than the remaining payments, then the remaining payments will be canceled, and the balance will be refunded to your credit card used for payment.
How long does a refund take?
The amount is credited back to the card used for the payment process. This will show up on your balance within 10-15 days but could take longer depending on your bank. You will receive a confirmation email about the refund in your registered email and on your account in the Flooss App.

What is this service?
“Collect from Showroom” (also known as “Click & Collect”) is a new service that allows you to order online and collect the order from one of Jarir Bookstore showrooms.
How do I use this service?
You can order by visiting jarir.com or Jarir app and choosing “Collect from Showroom” option on the shipping page during checkout.
Are there any additional charges for this service?
Currently the service is free of charge and there is no additional charge for it. No shipping or delivery charges will be applied regardless of the value of the products in your order. Please note that orders with an extra weight above 15 kg will result in extra charges as per the Shipping & Delivery policies.
What are the available showrooms for collection?
You’ll see the showrooms available to offer this service depending on the availability of the products in your order.
How long does it take for the order to be ready to be collected from the showroom?
You will see the expected date and time of collection (which is usually not more than 4 hours during the showroom’s opening hours) and you should go to collect the order from the showroom after you receive an SMS message indicating the readiness of the order to be collected.
How do I collect the order and what are the collection requirements?
You will receive an SMS with instructions when the order is ready for collection and the message will contain a verification code to confirm your identity at the time of collection. You must display the message and code at “Online Orders Pickup” section at the showroom as well as your National ID for the purpose of verifying your identity before collecting the order. Note that the only person authorized to receive the order is the account owner on Jarir Online or whoever you have authorized to collect the order during checkout. If the payment option is “Pay on Collection”, you must go to the cashier to pay first and then go to the “Online Orders Pickup” section to collect your order.
What happens when I don't show up or come late to collect my order?
The order will be held for you at the showroom for 3 days from the first message you received about the order’s readiness for collection. If you do not show up before the end of the specified period, the order will be cancelled.
Can I send someone else to collect the order?
The only person authorized to collect the order is the account owner on Jarir Online or whoever you have authorized to receive the order on your behalf during checkout. No one else will be able to collect the order except for those who received the SMS containing the verification code for collection.
What is the policy when the order is delayed from the expected time of collection?
A service request will be created to be check on the order and the responsible employee will contact you.
What payment options are available for this service?
You can see the payment options available to you at the last step of your online checkout.
What are the payment methods available for buying online?
You can buy using the following payment methods:
Credit Cards (Visa, MasterCard and American Express).
Pay at Jarir Showroom.
Please note that it is possible for some payment methods to not be available for some orders with certain order amount limits and on certain product types and categories, and Jarir reserves the right to determine the availability conditions for all payment methods.
Can I pay using Prepaid credit card?
Yes you can use prepaid credit card (Visa and Master Card)
Is Cash on Delivery available?
Yes, Cash on Delivery is now available on some orders with maximum order amount limit of BHD 500
Can I pay using Purchasing Cards (Cashio, OneCard… etc)?
The service is not available at this time.
Do you deduct amount directly from credit card when order is confirmed?
The amount will be booked initially when you buy and will be deducted when your order is ready for shipment and then a message will be shown online and sent to email.
What are the requirements to use Tabby?
Tabby is available to all citizens and residents. We only need your mobile number and a valid payment method.
What are Tabby's minimum and maximum purchases at Jarir?
Minimum loan value is BD 20, and maximum loan value is BD 500. In case the invoice amount is more than BD 500, customer can pay the remaining amount as follow:
The remaining amount will be added to the 1st installment payment. For example: If the invoice value is BD 700, and customer’s approval from Tabby is BD 500. The customer will pay the remaining BD 200 with the first payment BD 125, hence the total 1st payment will be BD 325, 2nd payment BD 125, 3rd payment BD 125, 4th payment BD 125.
Is there a limit to how much I can spend with Tabby?
There is a limit of BHD 700. The approval decision when shopping with Tabby can depend on the following:
Your payment history with Tabby
Your remaining balance and unpaid orders with Tabby
The purchase amount of your shopping basket
Other factors to determine approvals which we’re unable to reveal due to security reasons

Tabby does not approve 100% of all orders as we are committed to supporting responsible shopping habits. We understand that it can be frustrating to be declined for purchase after being approved in the past. Tabby uses different factors to determine whether orders are approved and your spending limit may vary based on the store where you are shopping. Tabby’s Customer Service team is not able to change the automated outcome of the approval decision.
How can I increase my chances of getting approved?
A good payment history with Tabby can improve your chances of being approved for more purchases as well as how long you’ve been using Tabby to shop.

What happens if I miss a payment?
Late Payment. In case of late payment, you are obligated to pay additional collection fees from the date you are in default.
How can I get a refund?
All refunds will be issued according to the Jarir’s policy for returns and cancellations. Once Jarir has registered your return or cancellation with Tabby, your refund will be processed. Here’s what you can expect with your refund:
If the refunded amount is less than the remaining payments, then the remaining payments will be adjusted against accordingly.
If the refunded amount is more than the remaining payments, then the remaining payments will be canceled and the rest will be refunded.
How long does a refund take?
The amount is returned to the card used for the payment process. This will show up on your balance within 2 – 5 days, but could take longer depending on your bank.

We deliver through the Aramex and Dal.
How long does it take to deliver online orders?
The estimated delivery date can be checked on the product details page or during checkout in the shopping cart page.
In general, we deliver within 1-3 working days from purchase date (major cities) and within 10 maximum for the rest of Bahrain cities.
Due to the surge in orders during offer periods, orders delivery could take longer than the unexpected delivery date at the time of purchase. We assure you that we always work hard to prepare, ship and deliver your orders at the soonest possible.
How much does it take for Delivery Company to pick up the product?
It takes one working day & 3 days maximum
How much does shipping & delivery cost?
The general terms for shipping & delivery cost depend on the value and total weight of the order as follows:
– No Shipping cost for orders with the value of BHD 20 or above.
– For orders below BHD 20, the shipping cost is BHD 2
– There are no extra charges for orders with a total weight of 15 kg or less. For orders with a total weight more than 15 kg, an additional BHD 0.2 will be added to the shipping & delivery cost for every 1 kg extra.
Example: if the total weight of an order is 20 kg, an additional BHD 1 will be added to the shipping & delivery cost.
Can you ship to any city?
Yes, currently we ship to more than to All Bahrain Cities which is showing when selecting shipping address OR in the product page to know expected delivery date.
Is it possible to collect more than one order in one shipment?
No, each order is shipped separately with individual invoice & tracking number.
Due to the size of some products, one order can be shipped in more than one package but all packages will have one order tracking number.
Can I edit my shipping address after order confirmation?
Yes, you can (for orders that yet to be picked up by delivery company)

Why the shipping company is calling me?
Usually the shipping company doesn’t call you unless the shipping address was not clear (in order to deliver your order in the right time)
Where can I find the product’s shipping weight?
You can find the product’s shipping weight in the product specification section on the product page.
How is the shipping weight calculated?
The shipping weight is equal to the Shipping Box’s Volumetric Weight or the Product’s Weight, whichever is greater.
* Shipping Box Volumetric Weight = (box length * box width * box height)/ 4000
Can I cancel an online order from Jarir.com?
Yes you can cancel your order if it is still in “In Fulfillment”
Cancellation is no longer allowed after this stage
Can I cancel part of my order?
No, you can’t cancel your order through website, but you can do that by calling our unified No 77997755

How to refund money if the order was cancelled from technical reasons?
In case order was cancelled from technical reasons:
Amount has not been deducted. It has been only blocked & will be released (unblocked) by the bank within 14 days.

Select the order you want to cancel (but make sure that order status is “Processing” , “in fulfillment”

Exceptional Cases for Order Processing During Offer Periods:
We assure you that we always work hard to get you all the items you ordered but in some very rare cases during the surge of orders in offer periods, few orders get placed on out of stock items. Jarir Bookstore reserves the right to cancel some of (or all) the items in your order depending on item stock availability, keeping in mind that the amount of any canceled item will be refunded to you using the same payment method at the time of purchase.
How do I return or exchange a product purchased from website?
All online orders can be exchanged or returned by visiting the nearest Jarir branch (click here to see all Showrooms),

A representative of the shipping company will come to pick the order and the amount will be returned to your account.
Can I return or exchange what I purchased online?
Yes, items can be exchanged or returned depending on Return and Exchange Policy.
What is the duration of your Returns and Exchange for online orders?
Duration depends on the date of receiving the order. & you must have the sealed invoice that arrived with the shipment.
What to do in case I received a different order from the one I ordered?
First, we apologize for the inconvenience & do not worry.
According to Jarir’s Returns & Exchange policy, you can return & Exchange the item within 7 days after receiving
The product must be in the same original condition & with the original packaging.
How long does it take to process my return through shipping company?
After receiving the shipment and making sure product is fine, a return request will be sent to the bank within (maximum 2 working days )
Regarding the refund, its based on your bank transactions as follows :
Credit card: maximum period of 45 days
Will I get back my money in case shipping company returned my product?
Money will be returned after deducting the shipping charges. And you will be free of charges If the product is contrary to what has been declared the website OR there was a manufacturing defect.
What are the terms and conditions of Cash on Delivery Service?
– Available as a payment method on some orders with maximum order amount limit of BHD 400.
– Additional Cash on Delivery service fees of BHD 1 will be charged and added to your order amount when choosing Cash on Delivery service regardless of the number of items contained in your order.
– In case order is not picked up by customer upon delivery, regardless of the reason, Jarir Bookstore reserves the right to not provide this payment method to the customer for future orders.
– In case of returns and order refunds, Return and Exchange Policy still applies with the addition of the following condition: For Cash on Delivery orders, the order items’ amount only will be refunded to the customer’s account as Store Credit on Jarir.com
